Wow, Paris Hilton has been sent back to jail and just like in the aftermath in the death of Anna Nicole Smith, America is gripped by the news and seemingly every news agency in the United States is giving round the clock breaking news coverage to such a trivial thing as this talentless slacker Paris Hilton going to the slam? Why, oh why America does this get our attention and not the war in Iraq that has taken the lives of over 3,500 young American Service men and women? America is being destroyed by our vanity and unquenchable lust for gossip and innuendo generated by the celebrity obsessed media.
Yes, Paris Hilton needs to be set free. Not from prison however, but from herself and her prideful vanity. We as a country need to be set free from our sin as well. Paris Hilton and every American can be set free from their sin by repenting of their transgressions and turning to Jesus Christ who died on the cross and rose again from the dead in order to give His people eternal life through faith in His name. Jesus said, "I am the Way, the Truth and the Life, no one comes to the Father except by Me" (John 14:6).
Paris Hilton and every person who sincerely acknowledges that they have broken God's Holy Law, sinned and fallen short of God's majestic glory, can escape hell for eternity by repenting of their sins today and receiving Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. Have you trusted Christ today? Is Jesus Christ your Lord? Have you been set free from your sin or are you still a slave to sin? Jesus Christ died on the cross and rose again from the dead! He is the Son of God and Savior of the world, repent today and believe in the Gospel! This is my prayer for you and for Paris Hilton that you will truly be set free from your sin and call upon God who will receive and forgive you if you sincerely repent and believe in His Only Begotten-Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, the Sovereign Lamb of God who was slain from before the foundation of the World, that His elect may recieve eternal life through faith in His name. Remember, whoever believes in the Son is free indeed!
"But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through His Name" (John 20:31).
